Minor League Baseball President Visits Great Falls

By NewsChannel 5 Sports

Pat O'Conner, the president and CEO of Minor League Baseball, visited Great Falls today as part of his annual trip to visit a pioneer league teams and facilities.

He's been to Helena and Ogden in the past, and took in a Missoula Osprey game last year.

He came to speak with fans, players, and front office management to gauge any problems or concerns they might have and ask what he can do to assuage them.

O'Conner says he enjoys being on the road.

"it's the best part of the job to get around to the different cities, see the ballparks, spend some time with the fans, spend some times with the executives and ballplayers," he said. "If you're going to lead from the top down, you have to gather your information from the bottom up."
