Monday Americans in over 200 cities and in all 50 states are saying we've had enough to child abuse. In Montana, a community march has been organized in both Billings and Great Falls. This is a huge issue for our state as stricter child abuse laws make their way through the Montana legislature. In Great Falls there have been 5 child abuse related deaths in 5 years.
At Monday's march a number of organizations will be present to offer the community resources and education. Jessica Bray, founder of the Dandelion Foundation, says, "all of these groups that all have the same goal which is to protect children and make stronger families are getting involved because we are all just tired of the constant onslaught of abuse going on in our communities".
The event is Monday 11 to 5 at the Cascade County District Courthouse in Great Falls. In addition to community support and education, there are number of free giveaways you could win thanks to generous donations from local businesses.
