Beer Bread

3 cups self-rising flour

12 oz. room temperature beer

1/4 cup sugar

4 oz. unsalted butter, melted

Make sure beer is at room temperature and add slowly to flour, along with sugar and mix slowly until a batter forms. It's okay if the batter is lumpy. Let the dough rest while you preheat the oven to 350.

Spray a loaf pan with non-stick spray.

Put the batter into the greased loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes. Remove the loaf pan from the oven and pour the melted butter over the loaf. Use a table knife to pull the loaf away from the sides so the butter gets into the bread.

Bake for 5 more minutes, the remove to a cooling rack. When it's cool enough to handle, but still warm, slice and serve.

If you do not have self-rising flour or Bisquik, you can add 1-1/2 Tbsp of baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt to each cup of flour.
