Great Falls Man in Court After String of Alleged Burglaries

A local man makes an initial court appearance and faces three felony charges after going on an alleged run of burglaries.

Nathen Thomas making his initial appearance today after being arrested Thursday.

Court documents state that on Wednesday the Great Falls Police Department receiving a report that someone had burglarized their garage and stole several items including a laptop, voltmeter, backpack with hunting items, two compound bows, and a welder.

Detective Mitchell received a tip that the bows and welder were in Thomas's possession.  Thomas is also alleged to have been involved in another burglary in which stolen items were being sold on Craigslist.  Mitchell after obtaining a search warrant for Thomas's residence reportedly found a welder, two compound bows, and other items to have been stolen in other burglaries.

Three separate residences in Great Falls were reportedly burglarized by Thomas.

Court documents also state that after Thomas was read his Miranda Rights, Thomas allegedly confessed to the burglaries and how he got into the homes.

Bail was set at $15,000.
