Deputy Travis Grove, DUI Task Force Officer of the Year

Posted: Updated:

Deputy Travis Grove has been working DUI cases at the Great Falls Detention Center for several years. "I've been a deputy sheriff for about 8 years," explains Grove. Before he started helping to catch people for drinking too many beers he was selling beers. "I worked for 5 years at the detention center and prior to that I was actually at a beer distributing I had several odd jobs."

During his time as a Deputy Sheriff, grove has recently received the DUI Task Force Deputy of the Year award, an honor that Deputy Grove certainly deserves. "I was nominated because of all the work with the DUI, I calibrate the Intoxilizer 8000 every month. I make sure all our papers are stocked, make sure our CDs and everything is all available. Keep the room tidy. I was also appointed the coordinator of the 24/7 program." Grove says It was a pleasant surprise just to be recognized. "It was it took me by surprise." So even if it is running someone through the breathalyzer machine or just doing some simple filing Deputy Grove is on the job.
