Billings Residents Standing by Barry Beach with New Online Petition

Posted: Updated:

Ziggy Ziegler created an online petition to free convicted murderer Barry Beach.  A longtime beach supporter, Ziggy is a member of "Montanans for Justice." He decided to start the petition when Barry was ordered to return to prison.  Already, the petition has over 3,000 signatures.

Ziegler says, "We want those that are in the position of authority, the governor, the attorney general's office, and the supreme court to be aware that there is a groundswell effort to let them know that there are people that are concerned about what happened with Barry."

The group also planning to prepare a written petition for people to sign.  Beach was freed in 2011 while awaiting a new trial, before a judge reversed that decision and sent him back to jail.

For those interested, the petition can be found at this website: https://www.change.org/petitions/state-of-montana-in-the-name-of-justice-free-barry-beach-3.
