Great Falls Public Schools Announces New Human Resources Director

Posted: Updated:

There's a lot going on with the Great Falls School District with just a few days away to that final bell before summer vacation.  District staff are busy with the proposed mill levy and some major staff transitions.  Tammy Lacey is leaving her post as Human Resources Director to become the new Superintendent.  The school district has hired Mindy Kiser to take Lacey's place in HR.  Kiser says, "what I'm hoping to bring to the table maybe just a new perspective and I think one of my challenges will be to get to know the employees and their needs and what the needs of the community are".

Lacey played a role in hiring Kiser.  She says there were many factors that made Kiser the best candidate of the 5 they interviewed, including her experience outside of HR in education.  Lacey says, "our educators will feel comfortable knowing that somebody knows what it's like to walk in their shoes in the classroom".

Kiser began her career as a math teacher and comes from a family of teachers.  Currently she works in HR at Davidson Companies and she's thrilled to get back to her educational roots.  Kiser takes over officially on July first.
