Posted: Updated:

The latest in the Shannon Augare traffic stop conflict.  The Blackfeet Tribe's Chief Prosecutor saying that a decision has not been made on whether or not the State Senator and Tribal Councilman will be charged on suspicions of drunk driving.

Augare was pulled over by Glacier County Sheriff's Deputies almost three weeks ago when he then allegedly drove off after telling the officer that he had no jurisdiction on the reservation.

The prosecutor saying that the investigation is currently ongoing and that he was "waiting on some stuff" and that he had no further comment.

The possibility of charges stemming from the traffic stop just west of Cut Bank on May 26th.  The Glacier County Sheriff's Office clarified that they do not have jurisdiction over the reservation and the case was turned over to the Blackfeet Tribe.

Senator Augare has not made any comments on the matter.
