Born and raised in the Orange County and Los Angeles areas of California, Joe Moeller joined the KFBB team in June of 2013 as the Helena General Assignment Reporter.
Joe started his career in Broadcast Journalism as far back as high school for Villa Park High School's news show "VP in the OC". He continued his passion and education in broadcasting at California State University-Fullerton. During his time in college, Joe anchored, reported, and produced for the University's television shows including the "Daily Titan" and "OC News" which both air on local television in the Orange County area.
During college Joe started working in production at Fox Sports West under the mentorship of David Otta Productions. Here Joe worked on the "Prep Zone" show which streams live high school sporting games, both regular season and championship games online. Joe covered major sports including football, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball and water polo, working on replay and graphics for the show.
Joe's first television internship was at the KTLA Morning News in the entertainment office with entertainment anchor Sam Rubin. During this internship Joe learned everything about a full fast-paced newsroom-- from editing, writing scripts and social media to working on red carpets with different reporters, as well as meeting some of Hollywood's biggest stars. Joe completed two internships in the entertainment office before starting his third internship at KTLA with veteran television reporter and anchor Lu Parker. During his reporting internship with Lu Parker, Joe was able to learn the daily ins and outs of a reporter's career.
A few of Joe's hobbies and interests include cars, running and weight lifting, traveling, history, technology, and just being social. Joe Moeller looks forward to all the new adventures Montana has to offer.
