Animals on Parade this 4th of July

Posted: Updated:

The Great Falls Shelter Sidekicks invite you to strut you stuff with your mutt in the Great Falls annual Independence Day parade.  The parade kicks off Thursday at 11a.m. in downtown Great Falls.  Make sure you arrive early in order to get lined up!  Laura McElhinney with the shelter says, "it's just a good way for the shelter to get out in the community and get people to start recognizing us".

Any and all pets are welcome including cats and dogs.  The catch is they must be on a leash.  Also make sure your animal can handle the stress of a parade.  There will obviously be lots of animals, people, and noise, so plan accordingly.

If you want to participate sign up at the shelter and make sure to wear patriotic colors or a shelter T-shirt.  Bandanas will be provided for your furry friends.
