Escapee Still At-Large

The search continues for a man who escaped from Deer Lodge yesterday.  Montana State Prison Officials say there have been no significant leads in their search for the man convicted on sex crimes.

Dean Randolph Jess escaped late yesterday morning and is still at large as of this afternoon.

According to prison authorities, Jess was working on motor vehicle maintenance detail and was on a service call when he left prison property.  The vehicle was found on prison property.

Jess is 42 years old and is described as being five feet ten inches tall, weighing around 180lbs, he has green eyes and a shaved head according to records.

Jess was serving a 55 year sentence for an offenses committed in Park County in 2004.

Jess does have a past criminal history including a previous rape conviction out of Washington state.
