Amber Alert issued for Missoula 1-year-old girl

Posted: Updated:

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for a 1-year-old girl who Missoula authorities say was abducted by her mother.

The child, Jasmyne Salter, was in the custody of the state.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that Jasmyne's non-custodial mother, 17-year-old Kailee Marie Salter, removed a window and took the girl.

Sheriff's officials say Salter may be headed to Plains and they believe the child is in danger.

They don't know what kind of vehicle they may be in.

Jasmyne has blue eyes and blond hair. She is 2 feet tall and weighs 25 pounds.

Salter is 5-foot-2 and 126 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing jean shorts and a spaghetti-strap shirt.
