Great Falls Independence Day Parade A Huge Success

Posted: Updated:

It wouldn't be the 4th of July in Great Falls without a great Independence Day Parade and this year certainly did not disappoint.  KFBB was out in full force and got a ton of great footage.

The parade route wound through downtown and featured a number of great entrants.  Classic cars were on display, many carrying veterans of wars from our nation's history.  The patriotic theme was on full display from out veterans to kids waving flags.

From the older generation to the younger, kids had a blast both participating in the parade as well as watching.  Kids of all ages loved the candy being tossed their direction.  The theme wasn't lost on the kids as some of the young observers had parents serving in the US Armed Forces.

The best part of the parade was the community.  Thousands were in attendance and showing of their patriotism through their clothes as well as their actions in honoring our troops.  Everyone was in a festive mood and were eager to share their 4th of July experiences.

We'll have a taste of the parade footage later here on this page.  A bit further down the road, you'll be able to watch the entire parade along with interviews and commentary right here at KFBB.com as well as in DVD form.

Happy Independence Day!
