Temperatures are on the rise and so is the number of cats at the Great Falls Animal Shelter. Summer love results in an influx of kittens each year. Right now the shelter has up to 60 felines. Now it's time to clean house. Laura McElhinney with the shelter says, "we have to make room for more because we are an open door. We will be getting more in, so we want to find the ones that are here their forever homes".
During the month of July, the Great Falls Animal shelter is offering cats and kittens at half price! Felines can be adopted for $40 plus the cost to spay or neuter the animal. Montana law requires all animals being adopted from the shelter be altered. Fixing your pet has health advantages, they wander less looking for love, and it helps solve the problems of over-population and over-crowding at shelters.
For kittens that are too young to be altered, the refundable deposit has been reduced to $100. Hurry, this promotion ends at the end of the month.
