Habitat for Humanity Restore Relocates

Posted: Updated:

The Habitat for Humanity Restore had its regrand opening last weekend. They moved to a bigger location on 401 3rd Ave S to fit their growing needs. Each item sold at the restore helps build homes for low income families. Along with volunteers, families receiving the homes put in hundreds of hours of elbow grease into their future house. The majority of their housing program is funded by the restore. The Great Falls chapter began in 1991 and since then it has grown. This spring they completed home number 28. A three bedroom home takes about six to eight months and costs about $100,00. But they are able to get there by selling one light bulb or nail at a time. Store hours are Wednesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Saturday closing at 4 p.m.
