Blackstone LaunchPad Brightens Montana's Future

Today at the capitol building Blackstone Charitable Foundation announced another expansion of its entrepreneurship program, called Blackstone LaunchPad.

This 3 year and two-million dollar grant will establish a partnership with Montana State University and University of Montana. Blackstone LaunchPad will give students the opportunity to change their ideas into realities and create not only a better future for themselves but for all of Montana.

The universities will create connections on campus, with the business community, and other local entrepreneurs to create an environment that will help young entrepreneurs and provide the skills and networks to succeed in the business world.

The funding of the program is possible through the Blackstone Charitable Foundations fifty-million dollar and 5 year entrepreneurship initiative and it targets areas around the country with aspiring entrepreneurs, in return their is the high growth of businesses an industries that are most known to spark economic growth.Montana is the 5th state to join this LaunchPad program and 30,000 students have the opportunity to use this program.

    ATHOL, Idaho - After a thorough investigation into the fire that closed a portion of Silverwood Theme Park last weekend, investigators with the Timberlake Fire Protection District say it was most likely an improperly discarded cigarette that started the fire. The fire happened on August 24th, around 2:00pm in a restroom at the Boulder Beach Water park. The water park was evacuated while crews worked to put the flames out.
