He is married to his high school sweetheart, he is an Afghanistan veteran, Purple Heart recipient, and he is only 20 years old. Now after being deployed for 9 months Austin Moore is finally back home here in Helena.

Originally from Pennsylvania Austin Moore moved to Montana in high school and attended Jefferson High in boulder. In high school Austin was an academic scholar and varsity football player, but that's not all he got from high school, it was also where he found his wife Laci.

Ever since his father could remember Austin had a dream of joining the military and serving his country. And for the last 9 months he pursued that dream and has been deployed in Afghanistan.

At the airport Nana Barbara brought Austin's favorite cookies, and family and friends greeted him at the gate when he arrived. No one happier and more proud than his father. Austin in hand with his wife, on the day which just happens to be Laic's 20th birthday. Not only is Austin's return a happy moment but it is more than anything a thankful moment, as Austin is arriving back home in Montana safely and able to be with his family.
