Great Falls College MSU Holds Wind Energy Forum

The Great Falls MSU campus held a round table discussion to talk with the public about plans regarding wind energy. Members of the community, representatives of Montana's wind supporters, and industry leaders gathered at Great Falls MSU's campus to discuss ways to support and add more wind power to the electric city. More wind power to the electric city. Folks got a chance to hear from wind experts on how we are doing and what we can do to improve in the future. One issue that was discussed in detail by the panel was the expiration of the wind production tax credit. It will expire this December unless congress extends it. Each member of the panel expressed their support for an extension. "Today we are here to talk about the future of wind energy here in Montana. There is a number of things influx right now including the expiration of the Federal Production Tax Credit which is the major incentive for wind energy  in the start but there are a lots of incentives as well," says Jeff Fox, member of the Renewable Northwest Project.
