U.S. Sen. Max Baucus has announced momentum for the Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act. It has earned a hearing in a key senate panel next week. Baucus says bringing the Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act to the finish line is one of his top legislative priorities in his final term. He says the act was developed to preserve the front, while protecting gazing opportunities for ranchers and public access hunters. Baucus first introduced the bill in October of 2011, after attending public listening sessions with Montanans. Montana Sen. Jon Tester is an original co-sponsor of the bill.
