KFBB Meteorologists Prepare You For Not-So-Fair Weather

Posted: Updated:
The weather has been beautiful the past few days out here at the Montana State Fair with sunny skies and cooler than average conditions perfect for all of these outdoor activities and rides, but big changes are headed our way.

With thunderstorms in the forecast you should make a plan B and enjoy all of the indoor family fun, like the horticulture, paintings or photography.

It's fun to ride the rides in sunny skies, or even if there's light rain, but when thunderstorms roll in you need to head indoors especially with the potential for lightning danger with all these tall metal structures.

We found a unique place you can go in the rain, The Skunkwagon Car Club in the Heritage Building. From Plymouths to Packards, Hudsons to Fords, you can find some of the coolest cars here at the Montana State Fair.  You can also enjoy all the animals in the livestock pavilions.

Come out and enjoy the outdoor activities while its dry.  So when it rains make sure you have a plan B for those thunderstorms.
