Didier Charges Overturned

Posted: Updated:

A federal judge has chosen to overturn the mail fraud and conspiracy verdicts levied against  former Miss Montana Christin Didier of Lewistown.

Christin Didier was convicted in April on seven counts of mail fraud and one count of conspiracy for collecting approximately $123,000 in insurance payments for temporary housing while repairs were being made.

According to prosecutors she informed insurers that she was living in a five bedroom home costing her $15,000 a month when she was really living in a tiny cabin with no indoor plumbing.

U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy overturned the verdict on Tuesday.  An explanation for this decision is expected to come in the near future.
