2013 Highland Games

The area's Scottish community came together Saturday for a wee bit of fun at the Spokane County Fairgrounds for the 2013 Highland Games.

From bagpipes to kilts to tall wooden poles called cabers, it was a competition like no other around the area.

People competed in sports like the "Scottish Hammer Throw," the "Stone-Put," and "Caber Toss."

In addition to the sports, there was also lots of drumming and dancing.

All together, everyone says they had a lot of fun and are looking forward to next year.
