Teachers Move Back Into Heritage Christian School

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -

Teachers at Heritage Christian School began moving back into their classrooms on Friday after arson destroyed parts of their school last August.

This past year, teachers went back and forth, moving materials from their original school that got caught fire to their temporary location at the Montana Bible College.

The temporary location was much smaller. Most classrooms were half the size of their original classrooms.

Second grade teacher, Stephanie Swanson says she is really looking forward to moving back and starting the new school year.

"It's so exciting, it feels like home," said Swanson. "I have all my things in one place and the students will be able to move around a little bit more."

Heritage Christian School will be having a BBQ on August 24 to welcome everyone back and show them the remodeled building. Classes will begin on August 28.

To this day, no one has been charged for the arson.

A sudden lurch in a creeping landslide in the northwest Wyoming resort town of Jackson split a house in two and forced workers to abandon efforts to stabilize the hillside.
No one can say precisely when the mountainside collapsing into this Wyoming resort town will give way. But it appears increasingly likely that when it does, it's going to take a piece of Jackson with it.
