Posted: Updated:

A Cascade County woman Monday night was pulled over and is now being charged with a DUI.

Belinda Hext was pulled over just one mile west of Vaughn on Highway 89 North.  According to court documents, Hext was reportedly slumped over the steering wheel of her SUV, and then a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper allegedly saw what was described as Hext passed out behind the wheel and the keys in the ignition.

The trooper reportedly saw an open container of Black Velvet that was near empty.  The trooper also noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from within the interior of the vehicle and on hext's breath.  Hext according to documents was very disoriented and repeated her answers multiple times and when asked for her driver's license she reportedly handed over a ten dollar bill.

Hext also reportedly resisted being handcuffed and was taken to a hospital to have blood drawn to pursue a warrant to which she was also reportedly resistant.

Hext has three previous felony DUI convictions and this was her seventh lifetime DUI.  Bond was set at $15,000.
