Gov. Bullock starts Back to School Tour in Helena

Posted: Updated:

School wasn't the only thing getting started at C.R. Anderson Middle School today, so did Governor Bullock's back to school tour.

As most students end their summer vacation and return to the classroom Governor Bullcok encourages them all to make Montana proud. This week Bullock introduced his back to school campaign with a new online web site and motivational video, and announced his school back to school tour.

He kicked off the tour here in Helena at C. R. Anderson Middle School today first speaking to students welcoming them to the new school year. During his stop at C. R Anderson Bullock spoke, interacted, and even ate lunch with the students, all a part of his mission to make sure students know they matter to him and government.

"One of the things government can do, I mean I am focusing on more effective jobs, better education system, more effective government, and education really is central to all those other pieces too." Says Bullock "so I wanted to make every other student in Montana know that their success is important to me as governor."

Throughout Bullocks back to school tour he will be visiting with students, teachers, parents, and school administrators to make sure every student is getting a quality education.

"It's more than just about that one student or that one classroom, but you know we will continue to focus on making sure that our kids have every opportunity and as they achieve they will be making Montana proud."

Tomorrow Governor Bullock will head to Great Falls continuing his Back to School Tour visiting yet another school. From there he will visit a variety of schools in the state of Montana throughout the rest of the year.
