FOX MT Entertainment Update 9-2

Sony Pictures' "One Direction: This is Us," raking in $17 million its opening weekend. The fabulous five's film debut pushing last weekend's top grossing film, "Lee Daniels' The Butler" into second place.   "We're the Millers" finished third.

The "Fifty Shades of Grey" author announcing on Twitter that Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnan will play the on-screen couple, Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Johnson is best known for her role on the former FOX sitcom "Ben and Kate" as well as roles in "21 Jump Street" and "The Five Year Engagement." Hunnan currently stars in "Sons of Anarchy" and was in "Pacific Rim" and "Deadfall."  The erotic love story is set to hit theaters next August.

Former heavyweight champion Tommy Morrison dies at the age of 44. Morrison, who beat George Foreman in 1993 to win the heavyweight crown passed away Sunday night in a Nebraska hospital.   Morrison tested positive for HIV in 1996, but the official cause of death has not been disclosed.

And the news comes one week after Dr. Luke, the previous candidate, dropped out of negotiations because of a conflict with his record label, Sony Music. Now, Harry Connick Jr. a three-time Grammy winner, reportedly signed a $17.5 million deal to appear on the FOX show, American Idol.  He's been on Idol several times in the past as a guest mentor, lending advice to contestants. Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez are scheduled to fill out this year's remaining seats on the judges panel.

    ATHOL, Idaho - A spokesman says no one was hurt when a fire damaged a restroom inside the Boulder Beach Water Park section of Silverwood Theme Park Sunday. The fire broke out at about 2 p.m. in the restroom building on the northeastern side of the park. Employees evacuated the water park, but the rest of Silverwood Theme Park remained open.
