A freight train was derailed four miles east of Superior early this morning.
Reportedly the accident caused 24 of the 66 cars to come off the tracks.
Allegedly four of those cars, two of which were tankers, were partially submerged in the river.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the derailment is still under investigation. Heavy equipment has arrived to begin removing the wreckage, but until everything is taken care of all other trains traveling the same route will have to be diverted to another path. The route may be reopened tomorrow evening, but we will not know for sure until the following morning.
