Kuebler Jumped From Courthouse Rotunda

Posted: Updated:

Just one day after changing his plea to guilty, a teenager was reportedly injured after jumping from the third floor inside the Cascade County Courthouse.

Cascade County Sheriff Bob Edwards confirming 16 year old Kaleb Kuebler did intentionally jump from the rotunda while he was being escorted to a scheduled hearing late this morning.

Keubler yesterday entered a guilty plea to the charge of sexual intercourse without consent to where he would be sentenced to sixty years in prison with thirty suspended.  It was shortly before 11am while Kuebler was being escorted to his hearing that he reportedly broke away from staff and made an attempt to jump from the rotunda on the third floor of the Cascade County Courthouse.  According to Sheriff Edwards, authorities tried to grab him before the fall, but could not get a good enough grip on him to prevent the fall from completing.  Kuebler suffered a head injury from the resulting fall.

He was then stabilized and taken to Benefis immediately.  He is deemed to be in stable condition as of early this afternoon.
