Google Lessons Come to Great Falls

Posted: Updated:

The Great Falls Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the Great Falls Realtors Association to bring local businesses a full day of lessons in how Google can help their business. The city businesses here in Great Falls will be getting a technology lesson tomorrow at the Holiday Inn.

"We are offering Google Universe boot camp and we are bringing in a national speaker and his name is G. William James and he is from Georgia," says CEO Terry Thompson. The Great Falls Realtors Association invited their guest speaker to help bring realtors and businessmen into the 21st century.

"So we felt it was pertinent to bring social media and technology type of things to our realtors and then we wanted to expand on that because we have not seen any other course provided to our local community so we opened the doors and wanted to invite the public as well," says Thompson. The Great Falls Realtors Association hopes that folks will leave the 6 hour seminar with some new business skills. "Initially the thought concept was because we are a Chamber member and the Chamber has a larger out reach than we do because we service only our realtors. We reached out to the Chamber and asked them if they would partner with us so that they could communicate to business members, because it tends to be much like the real estate profession where they all use social media and while this instructor utilizes the way realtors do things you know he is going enhance that so that anybody in any business. Wether you are in marketing and need to do flyers or what have you in your business from the very small business to the large corporate offices these app people are using and so it gives everybody an opportunity to learn and develop skills," explains Thompson.
