"Insidious: Chapter 2" scared up the top spot at the box office over the weekend.  The spooky sequel's debut earned $41 million - more than triple the take of "The Family," coming in second with $14.5 million. Last week's number one, "Riddick," dropped to third making only $7 million.

HBO's Liberace biopic, "Behind the Candelabra," was the big winner at Sunday's Creative Arts Emmy Awards.  The made-for-TV movie picked up eight statues for behind-the-scenes achievements and is nominated for seven more, to be announced during this Sunday's Primetime Emmy's Show.  
Nearly 75 years after its premiere at Hollywood's Chinese Theater, the Wizard of Oz returned Saturday with a star-studed anniversary celebration that included a 3D re-release of the iconic film and an appearance by 95-year-old Ruth Duccini, one of only two surviving munchkins.

Microsoft chairman and co-founder, Bill Gates, is number one on Forbes' richest Americans list for 2013. Gates topping the list for the 20th straight year with his $72 billion.  He is followed by Warren Buffett with just about $60 billion, and Larry Ellison with $41 billion.   The youngest billionaire?  Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg who comes in at number 20, climbing from number 36 last year.  Interesting to note, he was also the list's second biggest gainer in terms of dollar amount, adding$9.6 billion to his fortune.       

Billboard Magazine has named Pink its Woman of the Year. The pop rocker's sixth album,  "The Truth About Love," sold more than 1.7 million copies and earned three top 10 hits.
