Christopher Burch Changes His Plea

Posted: Updated:

A man who was accused of shooting a convenience store clerk in an attempted robbery last year changes his plea to guilty today in Missoula District Court.

Christopher Burch entered guilty pleas to attempted deliberate homicide and robbery, although no plea agreement was reached in the case.

A jury found Burch's getaway driver, Preston Hanna, guilty back in June. He is now serving 20 years behind bars.

Adam Gallegos, the 22-year-old clerk who was shot, says he is still unable to return to work after losing a lung and suffering other major injuries.

Defense attorneys say both men were drunk during the attempted robbery.

Burch will receive his sentence on December 19th.
