Name Released From Weekend Whitefish Car Accident

WHITEFISH -

The Flathead County Sheriff's Department has released the name of the Whitefish man who died in a car crash over the weekend.

Fifty-four-year-old Fred Dietrich hit a tree while trying to round a right-hand turn on East Edgewood Drive near Whitefish.

He crashed around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.

There were no witnesses and no one else was with him in the car.

Dietrich was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
