Today Benifis cuts the ribbon on a new assisted senior care facility called Grandview. "It's a new continuum care community for seniors citizens and it includes and it includes assisted living for people who are basically living on their own. Then it also includes senior cottages for people who need nursing home care but who are in a new kind of mode of care." says Benifis CEO John Goodnow. With so many state of the are "care cottages" residents will be getting the most up to date care. "It's all the latest technology and in the nursing home cottages. For example the care is very different that a traditional nursing home which is rather regimented and this is resident directed care so you decide when you get up, when you go to bed what you eat and much more family like," explains Goodnow.
The facility covers a wide range of assisted living including the ability to help those needing to transition to a dementia care friendly unit. "Your needs are assessed on a routine basis and if your needs change and you need a higher level of care it's easy to transition to the reflections memory and care cottage or to one of the skilled nursing cottages," explains Chief Communications Officer, Karen Ogden.
In fact there are very
few facilities like this one in the state of Montana. "This is very
important for benifis it is really exciting for us to be able to for the first
time for benifis and for the first time in north central Montana offer the continuum
of care," says Ogden.
