Malmstrom Will Get Paid

Posted: Updated:

The military will continue to operate and will be getting paid, but it might be later than expected. ABC Montana has called and confirmed a number of closures here in Great Falls. One of which being the Bureau of Wildlife Land Management. National Forestry services and the department of interior programs were also deemed non-essential and are closed. We have however received confirmation that the military will keep operating and will be getting paid but it might not be at their normal pay time. "The thing is that a lot of people are seeing headlines that say military is not going to get paid. Well in all honesty the military is going to be paid and a better title will be the military is not going to be paid on time," explains Captain Chase McFarland.

The military is not the only funded group to be continuing operations. The Wildfire Management Dispatch Center here in Great Falls is staffed and according to the Airport Operation Officer, the Montana Air National Guard Firefighters are also fully staffed at this time.
