SLIDESHOW: Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall

The traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall is making its only appearance in eastern Washington this year.

The wall includes the names of the more than 58,000 service members who died in Vietnam, Including 84 service members from Spokane.

The traveling wall is not affiliated with the federal government. The wall visits cities that sponsor it, and in this case the wall is sponsored by the Fairmount Memorial Association and Washington Trust Bank.

The wall is set up at the Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery and will be on display 24 hours a day until Sunday October 6th.

Admission is free.

    FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - A Texas man convicted of beating and stomping his girlfriend's baby daughter to death then burying her body has been sentenced to life in prison.   A Tarrant County jury sentenced 24-year-old Joshua Beard of Arlington on Monday. Beard was convicted of murder on Saturday in the 2014 death of 18-month-old Tylea Moore.

    HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - A man in South Carolina is standing outside in his neighborhood wearing a chicken suit and holding a radar gun, telling passing cars to "Slow the Cluck Down." Logan Cambron has lived at his house on Hilton Head Island for 25 years, and says he's sick of drivers speeding down the street. So he decided to take an unusual approach to the problem: A chicken suit.

    KHQ.COM - New surveillance video is an important reminder for kids and parents about water safety after a young boy got stuck in the suction pipe of a lazy river and was held under water for 9 minutes.  The incident happened back in March at a resort near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In the video you can see two boys playing in a resort pool when one of the boys appears to pry open a safety grate.
