Some Workers Are Able to Go Back to Work At Malmstrom Air Force Base

Posted: Updated:

Approximately 600 Montana National Guardsmen and nearly just as many civilians that work at Malmstrom Air Force Base were able to return to work today.

This move came all thanks to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel who ordered nearly all furloughed defense department civilian employees back to the job.

Employees are said to return to their usual operating hours beginning Tuesday, and most of their other base services will also return to normal.

However, the nuclear safety and security reinspection that was scheduled for this week is still postponed due to the government shutdown.
