Ginnaty Appears in Court on Assault Charges

A Great Falls man appearing in court this afternoon for an initial appearance and is facing assault charges after allegedly hitting a man with an iron rebar on Sunday.

Joshua Ginnaty appearing in court and faces one felony count of assault with a weapon and two misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief.

Ginnaty was accused of hitting another man with a piece of rebar after having a confrontation with the victim. A couple says they saw Ginnaty break the windshield and side window in another residences yard and attempted to hit the alleged victim with the reported weapon. The garage door was also damaged as well.  The victim did sustain several injuries to his head.  Bail has been set at $5,000.
