10th Annual What Women Want Expo Kicks Off

Posted: Updated:

Many women enjoyed a fun day at the 10th annual What Women Want Expo which kicked off this weekend. The expo featured shopping, fitness class, motivational speakers and more. One of the event's organizers, Terry Oyhamburu, said the events honored and encouraged women.

"We get a lot of positive feedback in the community. I know that a lot of women look forward to it. I was speaking with someone at the Hilton Garden Inn, and she was saying they were filled with Canadian visitors. The event has grown beyond Great Falls. We get a lot of women from the region, and we get a lot of women coming down from Canada now. I think its a really good opportunity for women, their friends, daughters and other family members to get together for a really good time."

Mickie Mellinger, a visitor to the expo, commented on the importance of the event to the community.

"Its really important for women to be able to come to something like this."

The expo not only supports women but also children.

"Beyond how much fun everyone has, it is a great fundraiser for our literacy outreach program. We put newspapers in North Central Montana schools," said Oyhamburu.

The What Women Want Expo runs through Saturday evening.
