Big Sky Buddy Walk is a Success

University of Great Falls played host to the 4th annual Big Sky Buddy Walk. Folks gathered on a chilly morning at the University of Great Falls to walk for a very noble cause.

"Today is the 4th annual Big Sky Buddy Walk it's a walk to raise awareness for those with down syndrome," says organizer Joan Redeen.

Starting just 4 years ago the Big Sky Buddy Walk has grown quite a bit in attendance in recent years.

"we've averaged between 3 to 500 people every year and the weather is beautiful, a little chilly, but we are going to warm each other up," explains Redeen.

For those walking it's more about the cause than anything.

"I like to come out and support the cause good environment for everybody, good cause, it's something everybody should come out and do every year in October and have some fun," says Adam Breen.

Those in charge say the work is very hard, but at the end of the day it is well worth the work.

"We always have fun, it's a great time, its chaos like a 3 ring circus and it's complete insanity, but its well worth it," says Redeen.
