Woman Rescued After Falling Off Horse On Porcupine Trailhead

A female was transported to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital after falling off a horse near the Porcupine Trailhead on Tuesday evening.

The 37-year-old female sustained a shoulder injury from the fall.

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, Big Sky Search and Rescue and the Big Sky Fire Department all responded to the incident.

Rescue personnel were able to transport the woman to the Porcupine Trailhead, where she was later transferred to the waiting ambulance and taken to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office would like to remind everyone to make sure they have proper safety equipment, including suitable clothing and first aid kits, when traveling throughout Montana.
