Paws Up Donates to Missoula Food Bank

MISSOULA -

Missoula Food Bank receives a $6,100 check from the Resort at Paws Up, aimed at helping local hungry families get through the winter season.

Last month, Paws Up hosted the 8th annual Montana Master Chefs event, where guests enjoyed gourmet food prepared by Bravo TV's Top Chef contestants.

Chefs competed to create twelve meals, which were auctioned off during the cooking event.

Paws Up also matched all donations generated by the audience for the food bank.

Stephen Beaumont, CEO of Paws Up, said, "Nobody quite knew how this was going to work, whether we'd raise any money, whether anyone would be interested in buying these dishes, and so we were absolutely thrilled when we were able to raise as much as we did."

Food bank officials said there's an increasing need for emergency food assistance during the coldest months of the year.
