Medical Students Rally For Affordable Care Act

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -

Today medical students from Montana State University showed their support for the affordable care act in downtown Bozeman.

About 30 students and community members marched nine blocks from the Gallatin County Court House to the Bozeman Public Library where they held a rally.

They chanted and held signs supporting the new law.

With more than 200,000 uninsured people in Montana alone, students said this law is important.

"I think it is absolutely deplorable that so many people don't have coverage, so many people don't go to the doctor when they are sick or when they do they just go to the ER," said Caroline Pihl, MSU medical student.

This was the students first rally in Bozeman.

The group is not known for being particularly politically active.
