Rathskellar Halloween Party in Downtown Helena

Posted: Updated:

Hi guys we are here in Helena, I am about to give you a sneak peak of the biggest Halloween party happening on Halloween night here at the Historic Montana Club at the Rathskellar come on in.

"The rathskellar has been different things over the years, but one of the things that I find interesting is the liquor lock ups the old prohibition day liquor lock up stuff we have in the back." says The Montana Executive Chef Marc Jorgenson, "You know there has been a lot of famous people, Teddy Roosevelt, Mark Twain, pretty much anyone back in the day anybody that was anybody that came to Helena would come and either eat, or stay, or be a guest of a member here at the club."

The Montana Club is one of the oldest operating places in town, and where better to have a Halloween party than here. On Halloween night this Thursday, The Rathskellar will be the place to be all dressed up of course.

Downtown Helena Communications Coordinator, Carly Garrison explained "There is going to be a photo booth, Interwoven Studios will be promoting their new film Crimson Winter as well as selling the soundtrack that just became available. Triple Divide Spirits will be serving an exclusive cocktail for the evening and they just opened up their new distillery in town. There is going to be a costume contest you can win a Downtown Helena gift card or a dinner for two to The Montana Club."

The party starts at 7 PM, and is 18 years of age and older, and 21 and over must bring I.D.'s for the bar. What makes this party so interesting is that this bar is believed to be haunted.

Jorgensen explained "Apparently one of our old bartenders, Julian Anderson who was a bartender here for 60 years, his son who was found responsible for the burning of the club, used to like to play with marbles and we still find little marbles around the club in strange odd places. So for the sake of Halloween I am going to say it is haunted."

So it looks like I found the biggest Halloween party of the year, so on Thursday get your costume come on down and have a good time. I already know what I am going to be G. I. Joe of course and you know after spending some time down here it actually does seem like it is a little bit haunted.
