Bearcomesout Pleads Not Guilty

Posted: Updated:

A Billings man was in court today for the shooting death of a man police say they found dead in a driveway a week and a half ago.

35-year-old Lorne Bearcomesout entered his plea to deliberate homicide and tampering with evidence.

On October 20th, police found the body of 32-year-old Misael Santiago in a driveway of a home on North 24th Street with three gunshot wounds.

Court records say Bearcomesout told police he shot Santiago over a dispute about a pit bull puppy and a possible stolen gun.

Bearcomesout was arrested this past May for assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, and criminal endangerment allegedly against his common-law wife.

His bond continues to be set at $500,000.
