AA Teams Prep For Playoffs

Posted: Updated:

The regular season for AA Football came to an end on Friday night.  Eight teams have now earned the right to take part in the postseason and aim for a goal that they set back in August, and that is to win the state title.

Helena, Capital, and CMR hit the practice field today for their first postseason match ups, but only one of those three is guaranteed a victory.  CMR and Capital will meet for the second time this season on Saturday.  The Bruins lost three of their last five in the second half of the season, including Crosstown last week.  The Rustlers have won six straight games to get into the playoffs and their last loss was September 20th to this same Capital Bruin team.

The Helena High Bengals have a rematch with the Falcons of Billings-Skyview.  The two teams met in week five of the regular season.  The Falcons held a lead, but couldn't hold it as the Bengals roared in the second half winning 42-17.  Helena will play Friday night at 7pm.  Rustlers and Bruins are Saturday at 1pm.

Sentinel is at Bozeman, and Glacier hosts Butte on Friday night.
