Troops Serving Troops Breakfast

Posted: Updated:

The Boy Scouts of America are saying thank you to the veterans in their own way today by holding a troops serving troops breakfast event.

Troop 1 set up a breakfast at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, just blocks away from Malmstrom, to honor both active and retired members of the community with a free pancake breakfast. The local Boy Scout Troop say they found the experience very rewarding to give back to people who have given so much.

"Today we're serving breakfast to veterans and it's important because of they gave to our country and now we're giving back to them, Veterans Day is a great holiday to support our troops and thank a veteran." says Senior Patrol Leader, Anthony Formica.

Boy Scout Troop 1 continues to serve the community with a coat drive where they have collected over 500 coats to be given to families in need in the Great Falls community. All the money that the boys collect through donations today will go back to the church to help fund several ministry programs.
