Lassila Makes HIs Initial Court Appearance for Allegedly Beating His Wife

Posted: Updated:

A Great Falls man appeared in court for the first time today for allegedly beating his wife.

Officer Mack responded to the defendant's, Christopher Lassila's workshop on 9th Avenue North on November 9th. Reportedly Lassila was running away from the scene when he was identified.

Officer Mack returned to the original location, where he found Lassila's wife bleeding, with scrapes all over her face and neck, and hysterically crying. Police are saying that prior to the disturbance, the two were drinking, and that is when Lassila flipped and attacked her. Court documents claim that he punched and kicked her numerous times, and even threatened to kill her while pointing sheers towards her.

With these events in mind, the state is moving the court to set Lassila's bail to $20,000.
