Helena Food Share in need of nearly 700 turkeys for Thanksgiving

Now Thanksgiving is just over a week away and the Helena Food Share is still looking for help in making sure they come up with the needed amount of turkeys to meet demand.

The Helena Food Share is still in need of 698 turkeys to meet the demands of the food shares clients for Thanksgiving. This Friday November 22nd is the 3rd Annual Turkey Challenge at the Lewis and Clark Library to benefit the pantry. Volunteers and staff will both be collecting frozen turkeys and financial contributions at the library, they will have a truck on site to keep these turkeys cold so they can be distributed next week. Over 900 families have signed up for Thanksgiving food through the Helena Food Share, registration for turkeys ends this Friday the 22nd at 3:30 P.M. And you must register at the Lewis Street pantry at 1616 Lewis Street in Helena.
