Local Family Shares Adoption Story for Adoption Awareness Month

Posted: Updated:

Meet Willow and John Rossmiller. They were in front of Judge Pinski finalizing the adoption of their adorable son, Andrew Wayne.

"A lot of joy today knowing the adoption is final and there is no more wondering what if or anything like that. Now he is ours and he is going to be in our family forever. He is our son now," said John Rossmiller.

Willow Rossmiller added, "Yeah this is our whole family. This is it. It is hard to explain the blessings that we feel. Joy isn't a powerful enough word to explain how complete it feels to have our family be one finally."

The Rossmillers are no stranger to the adoption process, and they say its the most amazing feeling.

"This is actually our second time adopting during this celebration. Last year we adopted our daughter and this year we were able to adopt our son. Its wonderful just being a forever family," said Willow Rossmiller.

The Rossmillers wanted to give their thanks to those who make adoption possible.

"We are really grateful for all of the birth parents out there who chose life for these little guys, so that people like us who can't have children are able to adopt and have our family and have the opportunity to parent since that is our desire. We appreciate them so much," Willow Rossmiller said.
