AG Fox hands Congressman Daines UM sweatshirt after Cat Griz wager

Posted: Updated:

A friendly wager was made over the Brawl of the Wild this weekend, and today Congressman Steve Daines received his end of the bet.

The wager was if the Grizzlies won, then Attorney General Tim Fox would give Congressman Steve Daines a University of Montana sweatshirt. Since they did win, today at the Capitol City, Daines stopped by Fox's office to keep his word... that's where he received a nicely wrapped sweatshirt to wear for a photo op.

"I will say I wish Tim was wearing a Bobcat jersey today, but the game was settled in Bozeman and the Grizzlies played very well they deserve to win the game and now all Montanans will unite behind University of Montana as they advance in the playoffs," said Congressman Steve Daines.

Daines is the first Montana State University Bobcat elected to Congress, graduating in 1984. Fox graduated from the University of Montana in 1981. As for the next Griz game, they have a bye week this week, and will play next Saturday December 7th at home in Missoula.
